Il combo sludge/black metal tedesco Downfall Of Gaia ha reso noti alcuni dettagli sul nuovo album Atrophy, in uscita l’11 novembre per Metal Blade Records. Il disco è stato registrato all’Hidden Planet Studio di Berlino da Jan Oberg e mixato e masterizzato da Jack Shirley all’Atomic Garden Studio di San Francisco.
Il primo singolo estratto, dal titolo “Woe”, è disponibile in streaming qui. Allo stesso link è possibile effettuare il pre-order dell’album in vinile, digitale e in bundle con del merchandise. Così la band ha commentato il singolo:
“Today we are pleased to share the first single of our upcoming album ‘Atrophy’ with you guys! This record continues directly where the recent one stopped. Harsh blasbeats combined with atmospheric elements. In my opinion the straightest piece of music we’ve written so far! ‘Atrophy’ is a a story told about the constant dialogue between life and death in which each and everyone is caught day by day, where life itself became the sisyphean masterpiece.
