Il combo gothic metal lucano Ecnephias ha annunciato la release del nuovo album The Sad Wonder of the Sun, in uscita il 7 luglio per My Kingdom Music. Sesto full length della band, il cui pre-order è già disponibile, è stato prodotto Federico Falasca, che si è anche occupato del mix. Il mastering è stato invece affidato a Mauro Andreolli (Extrema, Vision Divine, Negrita) presso lo studio Des Ende Der Dinge. E’ stato inoltre annunciato che due dei nove brani che compongono il disco vedono la collaborazione di Raffaella Cangero de La Janara come guest vocalist.
Così ha commentato l’opera il frontman Mancan:
“We are still a Dark Metal band with growls and a gloomy atmosphere but all in a new way. Our sound is now really obscure and The Sad Wonder Of The Sun is at the same time the most catchy and powerful music we have ever recorded. It is Mediterranean Dark Metal at 101%, it sounds more gothic, murky and darker than ever. I know you will love it… and if not… who cares! We simply adore it!”
