Igorrr ha rivelato alcuni dettagli dal nuovo album Savage Sinusoid, in uscita il 16 giugno per Metal Blade Records. Per la sua nuova opera, in cui coabitano elettronica, ottoni, fisarmoniche, archi, sitar, vocals operistiche e growl, il mastermind e compositore Gautier Serre si è avvalso della collaborazione di numerosi musicisti – più che nelle precedenti release – al fine di realizzare un album privo di sample. Tra gli altri, troviamo ancora una volta Laure Le Prunecec e Laurent Lunoir (voci) e il nuovo batterista Sylvain Bouvier (Trepalium); sarà inoltre presente Travis Ryan, vocalist dei Cattle Decapitation, in veste di ospite nei brani “Cheval”, “Apopathodiaphulatophobie” e “Robert”.
Così Serre ha commentato la release:
“I just want to make the music I love, without asking myself if it’s gonna be too complex or too far from what people like. I want to make the music which has sense to me, with no restrictions, like a big party with metalheads, electronics nerds, classical and baroque-heads and gypsy violinists getting drunk and joining together to bring the best of every genre.”
L’album, già disponibile in pre-order in digipak e vinile giallo, bianco e pale skin, è stato anticipato dal singolo “ieuD”, da cui è stato anche tratto un videoclip ufficiale, diretto da Walker Pachler.
