A diciannove anni dall’ultima uscita discografica, il combo sludge/doom metal inglese Iron Monkey ha annunciato la reunion. La seminale band autrice di Iron Monkey (1997) e Our Problem (1998) torna sulle scene come trio, con i membri fondatori Steve Watson (basso) e Jim Rushby (chitarra/voce) e la new entry Brigga (UK Chaos, My War) alla batteria.
Il nuovo album, la cui release è fissata per fine estate 2017 per i tipi di Relapse Records, è stato registrato al Moot Group Studio di Nottingham da Johnny A. Carter (ex-Pitchshifter) e conterrà otto brani inediti e una cover. Così ha commentato la band:
“We’re older, more cynical, more isolationist. Musically, we’re more aggressive, more focused – a direct assault. We intend to take what is rightfully ours, usurp the scene, then crush it’s skull.”
